Total Knee Replacement Surgery

Total Knee replacement surgery (TKR) replaces parts of injured or worn-out knee joints. The TKR can help ease pain and make the knee work better. During the surgery, damaged bone and cartilage are replaced with bio-compatible artificial materials.

To decide whether a TKR is right for you, a surgeon checks your knee's range of motion, stability, and strength. X-rays help show the extent of damage.

The right artificial joints and surgical techniques for you depend on your age, weight, activity level, knee size and shape, and overall health.

Total Hip Replacement Surgery

During Total hip replacement (THR), a surgeon removes the damaged sections of the hip joint and replaces them with parts usually constructed bio-compatible artificial materials. This artificial joint (prosthesis) helps reduce pain and improve function.

Also called total hip Arthroplasty, hip replacement surgery might be an option if hip pain interferes with daily activities and nonsurgical treatments haven't helped or are no longer effective. Arthritis damage, fracture and AVN (Avascular Necrosis) are the most common reasons for hip replacement.

Arthroscopic Surgery (ACL Surgery)

Arthroscopy is a procedure for diagnosing and treating joint problems. A surgeon inserts a narrow tube attached to a fiber-optic video camera through a small incision — about the size of a buttonhole.

Arthroscopy allows the surgeon to see inside your joint without making a large incision. Surgeons can even repair some types of joint and ligament damage during arthroscopy, with pencil-thin surgical instruments inserted through additional small incisions.

ACL reconstruction can be performed using Arthroscopy
